Site slow/down?
I have noticed in the past week or so that the site has been running slower than usual, and there have been times where I couldn't access it at all. Just wondering if you are aware of this Hex, or if it is a problem on my end.
edit: just noticed that it is back to it's normal speedy self again. I am assuming upgrading/optimization. Disregard if this is the case.

Same here, it either loads really slow, or it just fails to come up at all a lot of the time.

LOL, not me. I've been noticing this for the past month or so and it been REAL BAD for the past few day or so.
Today at work, I kept getting weird messages like "You do no have permission to view this site. Contact the site admin." and then figured hex had banned me.
So, I cleared the cookies and the cache and I was able to get back in (whew) but once again, it was real slow and I kept getting these "Forbidden" screens every other time I tried to change pages so I gave up......

Mine is still slow this morning and had 1 of my post get doubled yesterday. Guess I dont feel too bad now, sounds more like a problem with the site rather than all of our puters.

I did some investigating on this last night and it looks like our host has been having some database congestion issues. Hopefully it should be back to normal.

Something else to consider...
It seems vBulletin has problems when threads get over 250 total posts. We have many threads way over that. Consider the Today's Smokes thread with over 2500 replies. You might want to consider setting the board to lock threads at 250 and folks just have to create new threads. I am a member of several boards using vBulletin that have had to do that to keep the forums from slowing to a constant crawl.
