I have no idea. It would be nice to learn a little something about spirits. I am a complete novice with that stuff.

Scotch = Whisky
Irish Whiskey = Whiskey

If you read the bottles in his photographs (or could read the bottles) you'd see what I mean.

The term whisky is generally used for grain spirits that are made in:
Japan
Canada
Scotland
Wales

The term whiskey is for everywhere else including the United States and Ireland.

There is only ONE type of Canadian Whisky that is made using the "scotch" methods (from barley and distilled twice) and I'm proud to say it is made on CAPE BRETON ISLAND in Nova Scotia!

It's called Glen Breton Rare. It cannot be called "Scotch" since it is not made in Scotland.

Now that you got me thinking about it, I think I'll go have a dram!!

How do you like those 45 and 18 year Glenlivet? I have been meaning to give them a shot. The CVS Store in my town has some 12 year The Macallan on sale for about 39.00. I am gona pick up some of that for sure this weekend.

I personally prefer the 15 to the 18. Much better flavor. However, both are very smooth and are very good drank neat.
