    Default New fron NY

    Hey everyone.

I just signed up. I've been lurking around here for a little while. I'm from Long Island, NY, but I go to college in Connecticut. I'm 20, and I just started smoking recently. Just ordered the humidor/Don Kiki package from Cuban Crafters, and I'm very excited to get it!

I had a very nice Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve yesterday, and right now I'm on my way out to a cigar shop/lounge that I just heard about nearby. I'm still working on refining my palete and trying out as many different sticks as I can get my hands on.

Other than cigars, my interests include reading (I'm an English major, so I do a lot of reading), short story writing, and music. I write songs, play guitar, and sing in a band. Some of my favorite bands right now are The Shins, Modest Mouse, Andrew Bird, and some classics like the Beach Boys, the Beatles, and Buddy Holly.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning about cigars from you guys.

Great intro and welcome from NYC

I think in the near future you will be upgrading to either a much bigger humi or a coolerdor. In either way use the search function, you will plenty of info on how to set it up right, season it , etc. And look into hertfield beads they are great. Otherwise enjoy the ride

I go to Quinnipiac University, in Hamden. It's a great place, though tuition is outrageous. But living 20 minutes away from some of the best pizza in the world - Pepe's Pizza in New Haven - is a pretty fair trade-off.
