    Default Cigar Live

Ok... Please - someone (hefty, John maybe) explain this thread to me...

    Hefty bombs John51277

Was that "bomb" resultant from an attack on CigarSmokers? ...or was it an attack originating on Cigar Live?

Timing seems awful odd - and boy - it is pretty doggone smarmy to post it on Cigar Live if it started here...

John's birthday, if I'm reading his screen name correctly, is 5-12.

I sent him a package for his birthday, part of which was a copy of the Opus X DVD. In our correspondence, I mentioned I had the DVD and would send a copy his way. Of course I forgot about it for a month or more before I finally remembered and it worked out that his birthday was near.

I don't know what you're getting at George, but I sent him a birthday present. I can't imagine that being a problem.

I guess this goes to show why I am not here so much anymore. I got tired of the BS.

    Peace out!

No - I think it was awfully generous, Aaron. That's not what I'm getting at...

This reaction has got me wondering what the purpose of John's "reaction" to your bomb on Cigar Live from one of their mods...

WTG, The bombs are a flying!!!!!
That certainly suggests to the casual observer that the "bombs are flying" at their site. But - I don't think the bomb had anything to do with their site... Does it?

What BS are you tired of?

Ah... I missed it... The "BS" that Aaron was generous with you after you developed a relationship with him here, and he took care of you on your birthday - wanting to make that special for you. That's had to be the "BS" you're tired of.

Damn it!!! I can fully understand why you'd be pissed off about that - it just makes me sick... I read it all wrong. Seriously, I'm truly sorry if you were offended by what I have to say. I promise to shut up now...

But very good of you to go to another site to report the "bomb" so that other members there think that your new "home" is a fantastic place to be. That's incredibly fantastic for the morale over there...

John, the point here is that hefty (who you know from here) sent you a bomb for your birthday based on conversations you two had here so if you feel inclined to thank him publicly, why not do it here?

Why is asking a question like that considered "BS?"

Because it's just more bait to stir up problems with certain people and trying to egg the situation on to achieve a certain end result. If you bombed me and I thanked you on CPass would this thread exist? I doubt it.

    Exactly!!!

I did not publicly thank hefty here because I am pretty much done here.

But I did thank hefty for the gift. I just did it somewhere else. You guys have fun running this place into the ground as you have been doing since before I got here and will do long after I leave. I now know I had the wrong information about BPP. You are the "bad" guys(you know who I am talking about). Why don't you team up on everyone and "have ban polls"? You can all hang out together without any disturbances then. I am usually the kind to stand back and take it all in, but I just got fed up with the BS. I didn't think grown men fight like children but I have been wrong before.

For those who have been a true BOTL, I thank you!

Hmmmm, what "wrong information" did you have about sid? I know I never told you anything about him privately. Go check places like CigarRebellion and Herfer's Paradise for beginners, you'll find a world of "information" about sid.

You've been here for what now, all of three months? You are hardly in a position to be making uninformed broad based statements such as this one.

You're right, you've been "wrong before" and you are here too.

That's what matters. I have been reading and participating on these forums for a long time and I never knew there was ownership of generosity.

Um... People really need to let the Sid thing go. There was more to it than most folks will ever know and the right thing was done. While somewhat related, two different things here in this thread.

    Yep. I agree 100%
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

Thanks for letting us know why you posted your thank you over at the other place - now it makes absolute sense!

But - c'mon - "You guys have fun running this place into the ground as you have been doing since before I got here and will do long after I leave" implies that prior to being on this board, it was already run into the ground. And "long" after you leave it will be run into the ground. Does that mean your presence for the two months you were here somehow lifted the place up off the ground? Hadn't really noticed... Sorry...

You're in Shangrala now, John - have a ball!! Meantime we'll get back to running the place into the ground while you're gone. But do come back and visit!

ggiese, what does you avatar mean, reason I ask, is since I have seen it, I have noticed cars with bumper stickers of the same pattern (black background w/blue strip across center), from as close as I can notice the stickers don't have anthing written on it. May be totally unrelated, but I have noticed them

You know now that you say that, it makes perfect sense. I have seen maybe 3-4 of them, and I have only seen the driver of one, even if he wasn't law enforcement, I would not want to be on his bad side.

As far as I have been able to tell, they didn't say retired.

It's the thin blue line, representative of police officers. My bf's a p/o, and cigarsarge was nice enough to explain to me why I saw this on police vehicles, both on-duty and off-duty. They don't always say retired. :)

Eventually they do say "retired". All good things must come to an end...
