It has wheels on it that keep the blades aligned right.

Playing with the camera in sepia. I didn't want any comments about the pink shirt I was wearing.

Thanks for saving me the money. I'm still afraid of the mach 3 though. I'll just use my two blade bic for starters.

I recently started using the Gillette Fusion, Nice, but too expensive. The Mach III is the best disposable razor ever made. I know they LOOK dangerous, but I never cut myself even once!

Well, just had my first shave with the Merkur HD razor.

Got my new C&E Badger brush on the way, too.

Got on the badgerandblade.com board ... there's someone already named chefchris on there!!! wtf !!!!

Oh and if you see a dude on there that goes by the name of neilxvx , that's one of my buds. he's a silly little bitch though.

You see, being 20 years old creates a chasm between my friends and other people my age, because no one can fathom why I talk about shaving and dedicate time out of my day to go shave instead of hanging out. Part of it is because not many people my age have a full beard like I do.
Ok, this dude lives in an apartment with our lead singer, who has a full beard and is 19. There is another 19 year old and a 20 year old in the apartment as well, both capable of growing full beards. If only you knew this guy. I love em to death, but there's no point in being ridiculous.

He's also Vegan, but recommends the badger brush. He's straight edge but loves Partagas Spanish Rosadas. This is what I was talking about, JFellows.
Me and Sarah had a good laugh last night reading his posts.

Shave went fine, no irritation at all. I was surprised, I was expecting the worst. It was scary holding that heavy razor on my face, ecspecially since I haven't shaved with a razor in probably 2 years. I use an electric razor. Skin feels good today. I think I'm gonna like this, I know Sarah will.

Take it slow and easy. If it takes you less than 20 minutes, you're going wayyyyyyy too fast. Don't rush it, the best is yet to come.

What kind of soap / cream & ASL did you use??

Oh believe me, I took my time. Couldn't risk messing up this beautiful face. I used Taylor's Avocado and some peppermint aftershave. The name escapes me, it wasn't mine.

Thanks for pointing me the direction of Badger and Blade BTW guys. I now have a Merkur 38C Barberpole (GREAT looking razor!), Badger Brush and a modest collection of soaps and creams. I'll be putting up a free newbie PIF CE razor starting kit in a little while, so if you're thinking of trying DE shaving, let me know. I'll give preference to someone who is a member of both the Badger and Blade Forum and Cigarsmokers.com.

Careful with that new hobby. I sliced my lip pretty good two nights ago. No joke - bled for 6 hours. I didn't know we had arteries in the lips. Now I'm walking around with this awkward scab on my lip.

haha. Well, the scab finally came off my lip. But in the same hour I gained a new one ... on my nose.

I was lifting my nose to get in there close and set the blade down to early. Slit it right on my left nostril. Sarah was in the room, she didn't like it too much. Although she wants to try out my Merkur. She says she'll buy one if she likes it. She's paying ridiculous prices on blades.

I've been DE and brush shaving for the better part of a year now. I only get some minor nicks on occasion. I am lucky. I have a short goatee style beard and mustache, so my nose and mouth area is safe.

A new rule I use with any razor is, SHAVE SLOWLY. Slow, careful shaving stops you before nicks turn into cuts.

When I changed from my Gillette tech to the heavy Merkur 38C, I had a couple nicks and some burn the first couple of shaves. Different razors handle differently.
