Default Who's the new guy in Houston?

    ...I am!!

Been lurking for a little bit and decided to join. Got my first taste of a good cigar from my boss who had a baby, loved it, and am now trying to get into the whole cigar world.

I'm just South of Houston, TX, 25 yrs old, and an Engineer (I liked the look of the gadget forum).

Plus I am really into woodworking and making a humidor seems like its right up my alley.

I am looking forward to everything I can learn from these boards and excited to get into the lifestyle.

    Welcome to the forum.

I'll be in Houston for the RTDA August 4th - 7th or so. We should get a HERF going somewhere for that weekend.

I just looked up the Smoke Ring, and saw that there was one in Webster. I live down there and its like 5 minutes from where I work!! Now I'm getting all excited, I was worried there wouldn't be a genuine cigar shop near me.

I'll definately have to make it out to Sugarland to check out that shop as well.

    Thanks!!!

Excellent!! Let me know where and when and I will be there! I can recommend a few pubs in Houston if you're interested in knowing where to meet up.

OK, if you show up there, just tell them that I sent you over there (Chris, the f**king new guy working at the other Smoke Ring). Prolly it will be Ronnie or Chris (the other one, they have a Chris too) working.

Definately!! I don't really know of pubs in H-Town that are cigar friendly (me=noob), but it seems that CNB definately does. I'm in.

The SmokeRing in Webster is a pretty good store, I go in sometimes when I'm around the area. I think I know the Chris you're referring to, he's kind of a young guy? There use to be a girl before him, I think from Peru or Panama or something like that. Nice lady.
