Myself and 2 other friends decided to try one because we talked a lot of shit about flavored smokes and felt stupid to have such a bad opinion of them without actually sampling one. Our opinion was reinforced as each one of us made it about a 1/2 inch into it and were so disgusted we chucked them in the yard and just plain felt nasty enough that we decided not to even try our backup gars and just went home. Shortest cigar night on record.

    Default Gran Habano Corojo #5

I was at a cigar shop here in Las Vegas and ran into a couple nice guys smoking there and they suggested this cigar. (Gran Habano Corojo #5) so I thought i'd grab one to try. I sat down for a smoke on the back patio last night and lit it up.

Maybe it is just me, i'm not one to review much due to me being so new to cigars, but this wasn't a very good cigar to me. I tried to give it a chance though. My wife was with me and she commented that it didn't smell good to the others I've smoked.

It wasn't the cigar for me. Then I had a thought. Do you think the guys at the shop were pulling a joke on me? Give the new guy a turd to smoke.

Anyone have experience with this cigar? Is it bad or just me?

It could've been a dud, maybe try one again after you've smoked more cigars and you might find that your opinion is different. I had a similiar experience with a Perdomo Corojo that I hated when I first started smoking cigars. Now, I think they aren't bad.
Smoke em' if you got em'

Maybe I'll try another one later. There are just so many cigars and so little time.

Eight bucks a stick? A lot of that is going to Drew Estate's very successful marketing. Since your budget is cut, use your limited cash to explore as many different cigars as you can.

It can be overwhelming looking at what's out there. Maybe save up for the newbie sampler?

I'm still thinking about doing it. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of telling my wife after a big order several months ago that I had a few years-worth of cigars at my pace. So, I have to be very intentional on cigar purchases for the time being. Don't regret anything purchased, but wish I'd used some of that dough on the newbie sampler instead of a few of the fivers, in order to get a wider sampling of what's out there. I'm going to look into it again later this spring or in the summer.

Toscano Antica Tradizione - Talk about full bodied. Make sure you have a full stomach for this one.

You smoke shit I've never heard of, regularly. I'm way out of touch since I'm not doing much buying lately.

Italian Dry Cured. Much like a Villiger or Schimmelpenninck, very strong! Short money, $15.00 for a box of 5.

Jamie's right. I think soon, I'm going to start keeping a Paddy list.

I looked up those Italian smokes after you posted. It said something about fire cured, or flame cured like I'm imagining some kiln.

How'd they taste besides strong? I have a feeling they wouldn't be up my alley.

My Wish List has been modified to "whatever Paddy is smoking". Seriously, where do you find this stuff? It does provide good fodder for potential future box splits.
