had a R&J short churchill, really enjoyed the flavor. nice and smooth, but with woody or earthy notes (to me anyway) got a real nice amount of smoke from each toke too- nice and easily. big plus for me
anyone know if there are any difference other than size to the regular Churchill?

    Hola Soli.

    Yes, there are some differences.

The Julieta nº2 (Churchill vitola) has diferences in Ligero, Seco and Volado tobacco leaf proportions. It is a cigar to be aged before smoking, IMO a richer and complex smoke at 5 - 6 years.

The Robusto (Short Churchill vitola) seems designed to be smoked with very few years of age. A good quality cigar even young.

This afternoon I'm smoking a Partagás Shorts with an Expresso coffee.

    Regards.

    Ricardo.

    Hola Soli.

    Good morning all.

The two RyJ we talked in the posts above are both Premium cigars.

Part of this amazing hobby is the magic of Premium cigars: how age acts on them, opening qualities and properties, hidden when young. Then, buying, storing, ageing, smoking is part of the game

    Enjoy smoking.

    Regards.

Ricardo (a Gloria Cubana Medaille D'or nº4 is ready for after lunch cafe).

Just got in Zino Crown L.E. 2008.
    Smoked the Barrel........INCREDIBLE cigar.
I enjoyed this L.E. over 2007, by far. Richer flavor profile.

Again today. honestly, I'm very unimpressed with their idea of a flavored cigar. It seems to me like the "special infusion process" is really just fancy talk for "dipping the head in chocolate flavoring."

That being said, if they were to make an excellent cigar sans the flavoring and then flavor the tip to about a quarter the strength that they are currently using, it could be very enjoyable.
