    Default Today's smokes......

I decided to light up one of those old Monte 4s I created the "concerns" thread about. I am a third of the way through it and so far it is silky smooth with an extremely creamy smoke texture, and mild woodsy/sweet flavors. I still don't know for sure if these are legit or not, but if they all smoke like this I don't much care. I am really enjoying this little dude.

I'm trying an Undercrown Flying Pig now. This is the first I've had of this shape. I'm curious to see what all the fuss is about. Thanks to the sexy dude that shared this with me.

I'm taking advantage of this beautiful 70 degree day. I'm on my way back from springfield with a truck full of blackpowder supplies, meat from the butcher and smoking the hell out of this savenelli rr.

I managed to sneak in a Te-Amo World Series Selection Dominican Blend Churchill this weekend. Surprisingly, they're actually not a half bad cigar and I rather enjoyed it.

First warm enough day in a month. So, I could have smoked any number of very excellent cigars. I decided to smoke a 5 Vegas 2014 Limited. I bought a 5-pack of these about a year ago and they were outstanding; a best-kept secret almost. Then I ordered a crap-load (about a box+) of them as singles from CBid. Well, I smoked about three of THOSE and they sucked -- tasted like gun metal. (If you have smoked 5 Vegas, you know about the gun metal taste, I bet, or maybe I'm just taste crazy or just plain crazy) So, I let them chill out in the lower area of my much-loved Coolidor (Humidity is lower at the bottom; hey, that's what my digital's say.) Today, I wanted to see how they were doing.

The answer is that it was outstanding! That special tobacco that they use that can taste like either gun metal or rose-spice tasted like it should and I smoked it to the nub! This cigar generates a huge amount of smoke with a very nice easy draw. My daughter gave me the "Dad, you really smell!" thumbs-up when I came in (she had that "I'm gonna be like him...." look -- maybe, or was just true disgust?), so I know it was good!
