I have not had a cigar in at least 6 months...
I'm jealous!
I'd love to smoke more of them but they're hard to find up hear and of course, taxed near unto death.
On the plus side, I am heading to visit my daughter and grandson in Portland, OR in June so I'm saving up my pennies and checking cigar stores in that area. Worst comes to worst, I'll call my friend at the cigar store in Coeur d'Alene, ID and get him to order me a bunch and if need be, get him to send them to my daughters a day or so in advance of my arrival. Between the wife and me, I can bring 100 back and I'm shooting for 100 Anejo's....I want some sharks too!

Damn! I'd have accepted!
So I had to run into the big city yesterday. I was due for arthroscopic surgery on my left knee today but it ended up being bumped to next Wednesday due to an emergency. The pre OP info says "no smoking for 24 hours before surgery" and since I wasn't due in hospital until 09:00 I sparked up a Te-Amo #4 in the car at 08:00 Monday morning and smoked it on the way into the city. I figured by the time they got me on the table and applied the spinal block, it would easily be past the 24 hour mark since finishing the cigar.
I did stop at my favorite B&M and pick up some pipe tobacco for my wife (did I mention she quit cigs some time back and started smoking a pipe??) and grabbed a couple sticks for myself. Had I known before leaving for town I was going get bumped, I'd have smoked something on the ride home instead of on the ride in.

It wasn't today but last week I had a Le Bijou and a Don Carlos #2. Both were outstanding.

I'll let you know....it's been rescheduled for Wednesday the 27th.
It should go well though as it's the same surgeon who did my right knee in 2008 and he did an excellent job on it. I had my left knee and shoulder done in 1994 (same time) and hope to get another 20 years out of this go-around. I'm not a fan of surgery, but if doing the arthroscopic thing keeps me from getting a knee replacement, I'll keep doing them!
Sat out in my man cave yesterday and smoked an Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature another excellent offering from the people at AF.
