I had a Partagas Black Label Piramide this afternoon. I'm really glad I had it on a full stomach, sitting down. The last third was almost too much for me. Really tasty, but I was feeling a bit queasy when I finished.

Going away for a 5 day drill weekend. (5 day Weekend?) Plan on shooting the hell out of an M16 and being bored shooting it. (In all of my job all I do is train on weapons and shoot them. After a while I got tired of shooting. I think being paid to shoot gets boring. Anyway, a different story for a different time mayby.)

    I packed for the trip.
    Nat Sherman Omerta
Nat Sherman 489 Tubo #2 (almost too well packaged to smoke. almost)
    La Gloria Cubana Double Corona
    CAO American Landmark
    CAO Brazila Amazon
    Henry Clay Toro
Romeo Y Julieta Reserva Real Veronas Cort Tube
Excalibur 1066 Dark Night (can't wait to try this)
    Excalibur #2
    La Finica Fuma Corta

Doubtful I will be able to smoke all of these but I have enought so that I can have one a night and if a free loader wants to join I have one for them. I'll keep up on my mobil phone - see you on the road.

La Vieja Habana very good smoke, mellow and relaxing. Enjoyed it with a little Dewars on the rocks. Still debating on my next smoke of the evening.

Had a Macanudo (yeah, yeah, I know, but it was free) Robust while helping my father in law build a front deck on their house. It wasn't terrible, but not all that good either.

Then a Perdomo La Tradicion Cabinet Series P figurado when we finished. Unfortunately, I was punished by the cigar gods and it was so plugged I destroyed it trying to get it to draw. I really like the taste of these, I'll have to try and get them in a different vitola.

I don't understand all the negativity for the Macanudo brand. Could someone explain it to me? I've had one, it wasn't the absolute best smoke of my life but it was just fine, seemed like a very well made cigar.

    Last night I had:
    Joya de Nicaragua Gran Consul

    Wow.

Now, with that said, can you think of about 30 other smokes that are easily as good, or better AND less expensive? If you don't, stick around here a while and observe / be corrupted, and then you will realize that Macaduno is a mediocre overpriced example of relentless marketing.

BTW, to keep with the thread, I had a CT 1959 Exodus today. Very nice.
