Thanks, the long exposure resulted in a two-position cigar, which I thought ended up looking pretty cool.

Oh and for all you guys shoveling snow, that fire pit is really only for show, it is 70 today here in Tucson...

Had my first Gurkha last night, the Ancient Warrior. Not bad, but had a weird burn/draw spot in the middle that I had to power through... construction-related I guess.

Yesterday I had a Vieja Hacienda. This is a bundle yard gar for sure. But it was actually good. Kind of a mild to medium smoke with a hint of spicyness. I have the pyramids. This is a common bundle available through CI. Not bad.
Just another day at the office!

Earlier this evening I enjoyed a Savinelli Rico y Raro Toro Grande. This cigar is definitely one of my favorites.

    Oliva Serie O Toro

next up ... hrmm... La Aurora barrell aged! These I just discovered and I really like them, a lot.
I got three in a three dollar bin and I love them. If you have not tried an aurora get any size. I personally picked up some #4's.
The aurora's are for those that say they do NOT like flavored smokes but I will venture to say that anyone would like these.
UN-like a Maker's Mark they are not NEAR as sweet and the Barrell aged flavor is just great.

Room 101, the 213 size. It was a decent smoke.

This evening's smoke was a Black Pearl Morado Torpedo Cameroon accompanied by some Bourbon Barrel Quad from Boulevard Brewing in KC. It was definitely a nice pairing! I'm not a Bourbon drinker, but I would think if somebody made a similar pairing with a nice Bourbon of their choice, rather than this beer, it would be equally enjoyable.

I don't consider these "flavored" cigars in the same vein as Makers Mark at all. BTW, hell of a deal on a box of #4's at CI last time I looked.

Tried a CAO Maduro the other night. The first 2/3 was decent, but the ending was not good, ashy/harsh taste and tight draw.

Last night, for my birthday smoke, I had the Camacho Liberty along with a few fingers of Jack Daniels black.
Man oh man, what a nice cigar.
