#2 today, 2009 EPC. In need of something a little lighter. I'll man up again later.

    La Aurora Preferidos Corojo #1

These are not as good as the #2's unfortunately. Also, the figurado-shaped wrapper tends to come undone very easily. I just feel these cigars, although supposedly aged for a year, taste a bit green. I have solved the wrapper problem by cutting the cigar a couple of days before I want to smoke it and then re-enforcing it with a little Pectin rub-down. I really love this cigar when the stars align and it tastes great. I really hate what I have to do to get those stars to align.

Started out with a Davidoff Colorado Claro - but that doggone thing completely fell apart on me. Finished up with a Signature Maduro.

It was a gorgeous spring day here yesterday. Temp went right on up to around 70 (F) and my wife headed out of town in the early morning on business so I decided to take the afternoon off and get some stuff done around the house and yard. I did take time out to enjoy a favorite of mine:

Having an old school Oliva O Maduro with the blue cloth band tonight thanks to a couple of great brothers here. It is very, very good.

    Thank you.

I see BHH smoking these Diesels quite a bit, and since he was kind enough to include one on the PIF I just received from him I thought I might light it up tonight and see what it is all about.
