That looks good! I'm sure it's on ashaulers radar, and I just added it to mine.

While hanging out with a good friend watching 'Office Space', I smoked what I thought was an Oliva Master Blends 3, until I noticed the laser etched tattoo, and realized it was an MB1. Obviously, I don't pay too much attention to the labels. Great stick, but I wish I had paid a bit more attention to it.

That first blend was the best, IMHO. A shame they're longer available. I'd have to do some digging around, but I might just have one left (I think... Or hope...)

Agreed. MB1 is in my top 5. I am absolutely certain that I have no more. I think I still have a MB2 robusto kicking around. Imo, both the 1&2 are "better" than the 3, but I enjoy it as well.

Oliva is responsible for much of the best tobacco used by all the manufacturers imho. When I see that a blend contains Oliva tobacco I'm game to give it a shot.

Um, same family name, different families, different companies.

    Oliva Cigar Company - http://olivascigar.com

    Oliva Tobacco Company - http://www.olivatobacco.com

Just to confuse issues, both Oliva families were originally from Pinar del Rio and both now grow tobacco in Nicaragua. The cigar people left Cuba with Castro, but the tobacco people came to Tampa in the 1920's and started brokering tobacco in the 1930's. The cigar people grow quite a bit of tobacco in Nicaragua, but the tobacco people are huge everywhere, and supply a lot of tobacco to cigar makers.

Um, I'm aware of that, thanks.
Did the Oliva cigar company grow the tobacco used in the MB1? And I wonder if the sell any of their tobacco to other cigar manufacturers or just keep it for their own use?

I don't know. I remember reading somewhere that Oliva Cigar has used Oliva Tobacco, but for what I don't know.

Hey Mark, good to see you on back!

I jumped on the Anejo bandwagon this weekend too. I had one of the Churchill 46's on Friday!

Saturday I dipped into the AF sampler I got from Will (finally nice enough to sit outside and smoke again) and had a:

Arturo Fuente Magnum R. 54 (Rosada)

    A very nice cigar!

IIRC the Oliva angel 100's had Oliva grown tobacco(grower) rolled by Oliva(ciga company) . They were nasty when they were released but now they are some awesome smokes but are long gone. I have 1 left but smoked prolly 150-200

Tatuaje Reserva....I am now about half way through it and it seems very boring and lacking in flavors.
