Been busy with work this week but had a chance to try the Don Carlos line by Fuente (the #2 and the Presidente). What a great smoke!

Yesterday I had an AF Sungrown Chataue (sp?) worth mentioning because it was damn good. Enjoyed while pottering around in the garden.
I thought it was a tampon joke!

Fuente sungrown are very consistently well made cigars, I dun't feel right unless there's a few in my humi.

I've got a nub 358 Connie going right now, not bad so far! Connecticut shade wrappers usually do nothing for me, I guess with such a large filler to wrapper ratio, I get less of the "burning newspaper" sensation

Good God this is a delicious cigar. Burns cool and tasty, no bitterness, right down to the nub of the nub. Perhaps the best finish I've ever tasted.
Three small whiskies had gone to his head and Gallaher's strong cigar had confused his mind, for he was a delicate and abstinent person. (--from the short story 'A Little Cloud' by James Joyce)

Had a Alec Bradley Ovation Cameroon Baron and a Maduro Torpedo that was part of a Rocky Patel Rejected Blends Sampler. It's a shame that i don't know what blend the RP was as it was a smooth medium bodied stick.

Decided to have one more late one:

    Gran Habano 3 Siglos Robusto

    Another to file under delicious.

Yesterday for Canada Day I started with a Belinda and a 898 Collection Robusto during the daytime activites (my wife and I took our daughter down to the festivities for a pony ride) finished the night off with a Gurkha Ancient Warrior and a Gurkha Beauty during the fireworks/concert.
Just a stay at home dad (retired until I choose otherwise, thanks Canadian Army medical pension) hanging out and enjoying the good life.

Yesterday, I had a Vegas Cubanas Magnates and a Casa Torano Robusto. Gotta say that both are exemplary of what good construction is all about.

I celebrated Canada Day with an Edge Maduro Torpedo and a Monte #5.

    (1) CI Legends Yellow Label - better than the last one I fired up, but still won't buy more.

    (2) A gift from a friend that was most definitely a counterfeit.

Today, I had a Nub Cameroon 464 and San Cristobal Fabuloso. Awesome smokes! Might have to pick up a box of Nubs pretty soon.

    Tonight was a good night.
Open mic at my local bar.

A Gurkha Ancient Warrior, a Rocky Patel Fusion and a New Playboy by Don Diego followed by an MX2 Dagger on the walk home.

Fuente Cubanito... Yeah, Im on the good old ration budget. One day..

Construction stunk, and the cut did nothing to help.
