    Default Biggio Contest

So since I am an absolute fanatic about the Houston Astros, and that Craig Biggio has been my favorite player since I was little, and I haven't done a contest yet, I figured I could combine all 3.

As some of you may know, Craig Biggio is inching towards 3000 career hits. He stands at 2984 as I am writing this after a double in today's game.

I want you all to predict the day that Biggio will hit the 3000 mark. As a tie breaker I want to know what inning and what type of hit (single, double, triple or HR).

Your last post is the one that counts and all entries must be posted by midnight Saturday (Central time).

The winner will get a nice little sampler from me.

    Game On!!!!!

I think it will take a little longer, he isn't hitting very good on the road.

And I promise I won't send out dog rockets

Just one more day. Closes at midnight tomorrow (Saturday) central time.

And I am predicting Saturday 7/7 against the Mets with a double in the 5th.

Mills is looking good right now. Eight hits left, Biggio averages about one hit per game, and there are 7 games between now and Mills' pick. However, I think they're taking Biggio out of the lineup for tomorrow's game, so if that happens and he hits a 2-3 game slump then I'll be in the money.

They normally rest him on day games following night games. And the early picks are definitely looking better.

Got a few nice ones all picked out and ready to go

They'll definately rest him now. Only 3 games before they're home for 11. The way this season is going, if management doesn't make sure to let Biggio get the hit at home, there will be riots in the streets.

Plus I have tickets for the first 6 games of the homestand so i can see it live!

Mills is lookin pretty good right now with a 6/29 pick.

    Go 'Stros!!!

Wow, you're lookin' psychic right now. Bidge got his 2,998'th hit today with a single in the 3rd. 1 more hit tonight and the same thing tomorrow and you're dead on.

On a sadder note I'm not at the game right now because I'm still at work!!

    'k...I'm done

Wooo! Congrats to Mills! I should have stuck to an earlier date.

I'm sorry you weren't there to witness it, Kyle. I still have my autographed program from when I attended my first 'Stros game when I was 8-10 years old.
