    Thumbs up Bahia Trinidad Elegante

    Bahia Trinidad Elegante

The Bahia Trinidad is a Nicaraguan Puros made with 4 year old Cuban seed binder and filler and uses a 2 year old Criollo wrapper. The cigar is very well constructed and has a spicy aroma even unlit. This cigar burns very well but the ash was a bit loose and had to be watched.

The cigar has a nice medium body and strength. It produced a nice amount of smoke that was smooth on the palate. The Bahia Trinidad starts with an earthy leather flavor and subtle hints of Cinnamon and chocolate linger in the smoke. A third of the way into the cigar the spices really come out and would have been accompanied nicely by a bit of rum. The cigar didn't change much after that which was fine as the mix of flavors was very enjoyable.

This cigar is one of the gems in the $5 to $6 range. If you want something a bit bolder you may wish to try the Bahia Maduro Red Label. I'd say this cigar was an 8 out of 10. Very enjoyable and would go great with a cup of coffee in the morning or a splash of rum in the evening.

Anybody else have any input on these......I got a couple gifted to me. I've had the Bahia maduro and the gold and found them enjoyable if a little pricey at the local.
