I restocked my humidor with a few 5 packs from CBid. This was one of them.

The Gold is a mild cigar with a Connecticut shade grown wrapper. Pre light the draw had some serious chocolate notes in it but I didn't notice that much when I was smoking it. The flavor was average. Not bad, but not an "Oh Wow!" type of cigar. It ended up being a yard 'gar as I was mowing the lawn so I didn't get a chance to really let it grow on me.

The ash was solid and white; the smoke was thick and dense. As I smoked it down I started to notice some harshness. However, because I was doing some yard work it went out and I had to relight twice. That could have caused some harshness as well. But I really didn't notice much flavor or nicotine hit. Mild indeed.

Overall I think it's a decent mild smoke. But if I could find a Ghurka expedition for the same price (and I did) then I think I'd prefer those.
