Any tried these? According to the tampa humidor site they are being made for them exclusively by rocky patel. I guess I will order a couple and try them out.

I have smoked about 3 of these over the last 8 or so months. I helped Mike(the owner) come up with design ideas for the label. He went over to RP's factory in Honduras and blended this cigar with RP.
Very oily maduro wrapper with a 3 country blend double ligero filler. Not super strong but definitely finishes with a full bodied kick. Starts off more medium like. I will say that this cigar has very nice thick smoke to it. I should have a review up by tomorrow. Actually sat down and smoked a couple nights ago. Good smoke out of the box with a GREAT aging potential to it.
Mike is a great BOTL. I am happy I am so close by. I have been talking with him about this cigar since he went over to Honduras. I am glad he finally got this stick in! It has been much waiting and aniticipation.
Other than Cbid this is my exclusive B&M for all my cigar needs. He also has a great staff on board that is always helpful.

Yeah I ordered a couple with some other stuff from tampa. They have good prices and free shipping. I ordered yesterday and I got an email today buy 4 get one free so I called them. They said no problem and changed the order to give me a couple of free ones. I ordered my small humidor from them and have been very happy. I look forward to trying those conquistas.

I just had one last night and I must say it was the best partially machine made cigar I have ever tried. Lot's of smoke, very smooth and somewhat complex.
Well on the cigar band "hecho a mano" is printed which usually designates a cigar that is machine binded but hand finished. I must admit that there are advantages to partially machine made cigars: 1. The draw can sometimes be more consistent than fully handmade cigars (usually designated with the words "totalamente a mano"). 2. It enables the cigar company to offer a quality smoke at a more affordable price. There are some cigar snobs out there that won't smoke a partially machine made cigar, but this cigar is wonderfully made. The silky, oil rich, habano wrapper makes it all worthwhile. I have met Mike the owner of Tampa Humidor and he would never offer an inferior product to his customers, I am even considering making these my everyday smoke.
KoolhandK-you should verify what you type on the internet. Hecho a Mano can have different interpretations depending on who you speak with.
The whole cigar is hand made. There is NO machine made parts to it. I have been talking with Mike, who made the blend with rocky from the inception of his idea.
Actually I just called him to verify and he said "Completely hand made at Rocky's Plascencia Factory." So just be sure before you start spreading nasty rumors. ;)
Mike is one of the best store owners I have ever hung out with(I am in his store at least once a week) and I get a little defensive about my favorite local store! LOL

You are totally right. I should have called Mike to verify it. I just figured that in addition to the "hecho a mano" it was probably the only way to have such a great house cigar at such a low price. I do however disagree that it is a nasy rumor, there are many fine fine cigars out there that we all smoke that are machine binded. Many cubans infact.
Oh yeah and you are right, Mike is awesome...I love Tampa Humidor. I mean what other company offers free shipping amongst other benefits (which the lay person wouldn't know about unless they did business with them). Hey Guado what did you think of the free Conquista t-shirt, I love mine.
Guado, you have a couple of these for trade ? I would like to try one.
"You shut your mouth while your talking to me"
I got the conquista shirt the day he got them in.I had also smoked the conquista months ago when he got a pre-production bundle. I have been anticipating the release for months! All I know is that it's a sign when a NEW cigar hits the shelves and people are buying two boxes at a time.
Wingfan PM me.
Yeah he only has boxes of the roubustos left until October (at least thats what the July update said). I have already tried the robusto and have a toro waiting in the humi (can't wait).
Hey Guado, I recently moved from Florida so would you mind posting pics of the New Tampa Humidor Store when it is up and running? I know it is not for a few more months, but I can't wait to see what it looks like, and I won't be able to go down for a visit for quite some time.
Move in should hopefully be in January. I will damn sure have pictures when it comes up. I will practically live there. I have been waiting for the new place for over a year now.
The cigar only improves once it stabilizes. They are still too wet fresh. I have a box of torpedos resting to get fired up. :D
I really hope Mike can get the A. Fuente account when the new store opens, he said that a new store was part of their demands upon agreeing to do business.
A couple of weeks ago I had requested that the Conquista line be added to the "Top 25 Cigar" database to be reviewed. So if you have smoked these and want to review them, now you can.
A. Fuente account is coming to TH!!!![]()
Guado, absolute positively coming? So fuente approved the new store. That is awesome, I can't wait. Dont foreget to post pics in Jan, I know Mike is putting pics up but I bet you can get even better ones.
Yes definitely coming. I talked to him this week. Also Conquistas are supposed to be back in stock this month sometime.![]()
That is funny that you mention that because I just went to order some more and I noticed that he was sold out...bad news for me, but good news for Mike.
