    Default Cuban american equivalent

Hello all, as you see Im new here and also new to the world of cigars. I recently took a trip to canada for a relative's wedding and purchased a few Romeo y Julieta cuban cigars. I really liked them however since I live in the US you can see my situation of not being able to buy them whenever I want.

So here in lies my question....what brands available in the US should I be looking for comparable in price and flavor (I paid $10 each for the Romeo y Julieta's)???

    thanks a lot!

You'll never find a cigar to replace a true Cuban, but you can find some great cigars that are legal in the USA Also, depending on where you live you can find them for much cheaper.

You can't go wrong with cigars made by:

    Carlos Torano
    Rocky Patel/Indian Tabac
    CAO
    Padron

Check out the reviews here on this site and others, pick out a few you like give them a try and keep your own notes. You'll be able to figure out soon what cigars you like.

Other than the first paragraph I completely agree with Cigar Jack here. I cannot express an opinion on Cuban cigars since I have never had the pleasure to smoke one. However, I have smoked all of the brands he mentions above and enjoyed them all.

He wants cigars in the $10 price range - those are a bit more than that, Scotty.... And he probably won't be able to find them...

In the area of the $10 price range, right off the top of my head, I'd go with Gurkha Master Select, Hanostia Signature series, Ashton, AVO Signature, Griffin's, Fuente Heminway's. You should be able to find most of those at a fairly well stocked cigar store... They may be hard to find elsewhere...

BTW - Scotty, what does you sigtag mean??? And why aren't you displaying it anymore???
