Have sampled a few summer seasonal beers. From best to worst:
1) Widmer Citra Blonde - Very crisp and refreshing, the citra hops give a great citrus flavor without an overpowering bitterness; well-balanced overall.
2) Bridgeport Summer Squeeze - The lemongrass and Asian citrus fruit added make a wonderful pairing with the light ale
3) New Belgium Somersault - More citrus tones, but all the flavors don't meld as well as the first two; the added flavors overpower in this one.
4) Deschutes Twilight - Opposite of #1; unbalanced; too little emphasis on the malt and too bitter, despite relatively low 25 IBUs.
