Default A Fuente Hemingways on CBID?

located several lots of Hemingways, e.g. http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=515872. the image appears to be a maduro wrapper, however, there is no mention in the description and all the lots seem to use the same image.

    Any idea what is happening?

    Cheers,
    Rusty

Definitely not a maduro. The maduros are much darker than that cigar. However, because it is a Best Seller, there is virtually no possible way that is could be a maduro. There are only a handful of Best Seller maduros out there and they were all given out at a few various CFCs.

Here is some information courtesy of Moki and vitolas.net

On a side note, I can't believe people are paying 2$ over MSRP for a single plus shipping that can easily be had for MSRP or even less.

Also, the cigar in the picture is a Hemingway Classic, which may mislead some bidders. Be sure to read the fine print and check your prices. Overpaying is not cool.

It seems difficult to definitively tell from the photo on cbid, there is a link http://www.vitolas.net/displayimage.php?album=35&pos=7 on vitolas.net (interesting site) that has both the maduro and the Cameroon on the same page. Still difficult to know from looking in real life. Certainly could be exacerbated by my inexperience!

Thanks for the tip. The standard is a nice, finger scorching smoke

wrt paying more at an auction, I see it regularly on photo gear on ebay. Appears folks simply get carried away with "winning". Never happens when I am the seller

Cheers, thanks for the info and neat link,

    Rusty
