Thread: Favorite Cheaper Cigars

    Default Favorite Cheaper Cigars

Just wondering what some of your favorite cheaper cigars are. There are good and bad ones in the expensive premium and the midgrade cigars, all due to induvidual taste. I've been buying alot here lately, anything from $2-$15 per single so far. Still trying to test out a wide variety to see what I like over others. I was in a local shop today an noticed they had all the good stuff, some mid grade smokes, etc on the wall sheles. But they also have several fairly large (maybe 50-75 count) cigar boxes sitting in the corners with dark colored "unwrapped" cigars without bands. Can't remember the names, but they were in the $2-$3 range. Looked good from the way they were rolled and had a decent smell. Didn't buy one, but I was wondering if anybody here has those in their shops and are they usually good? Just thought it was strange that so many come in the cellophane wrappers and these didn't. I think she had 5 or 6 different brands like that, all in the large wooden boxes.

Yeah, I just realized I meant to post this in the Cigars Forum instead of Accessories. Sorry, I was reading some stuff in the Accessories and posted here.

To me, one of the top cheaper smokes are the Sancho Panza Double Maduro. They come in various sized, but my top is the La Mancha.

Try 'em, you probably won't be disappointed.

Padron's, and recently Fumadores. One of my favorite things is trying new cigars. I try to grab a new stick every chance i get.

ERdM oscuro robustos - a little over $2 per by the box. Decent medium-strength cigar.

I'll have to get some of those and try them out. I am still new so I've only smoked a handful of different brands. Of the cheaper ones I bought a little 5 pack of the Don Diego Babies because I had one of the Don Diego Robusto's and thought it was pretty good for $4. I usually go for the larger Corona's and Churchills but wanted a wide assortment of brands and sizes to try out. So I had one of the Babies and for $6 for 5 of them it actually was pretty good in my opinion.

Quorum is an alright yard-gar.....I've smoked a few and have some sitting in the humi for the spring/summer yard work. Not something I would smoke in the winter when it takes more effort to enjoy a smoke....but alright none the less.

If you do a search for inexpensive / cheap cigars you will find lots of info no doubt.....but I'll add to this list:
    Roly
    FdO, all but the golds.
Cusano CC-MC-P1 robusto and cafe' robusto sizes
    Famous Buenos Maduritos
    Bock y Ca

Right On - I got a box last Friday. Smoked 4 this weekend. Very tasty little maduro.

About the cheapest cigar I smoke is the Alec Bradley Ovations and The Maxx. Both are around $4 per stick and both are good daily smokes for me. Haven't yet found anything less expensive that I would enjoy; they've all tasted too flat and boring for me to smoke regularly.
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

I've tried Quroum and didn't like them.

As for inexpensive smokes mine are:

    Don Tomas Classico
    Helix Maduro
    HdM Rothchildes
    Bances Brevas & Crowns

I just smoked one of the Don Tomas Classico's this evening. Not bad at all. JR's had them on sale $2 ea and I picked up 3 of them.

Yep, I smoke the Classico maduros fairly often. I 'd have to say that the DT and the Sanco Panza Dbl Maduros are my favorite inexpensive smoke.
