While I am not by any stretch of the imagination a NASCAR fan, it is something I think everyone should experience. I know it's cliche, but you can actually FEEL the power of those cars as they pass by. I remember feeling the hair on the back of my neck stand up when the Pace Car pulled off the track and the 48 (I think it was 48) cars went by us to start the race under full power.

However, that did not compare to the only time I'd been to an F-1 race and a BMW, a MacLaren and a Ferrari absolutely SCREAMED by us as we were standing on a walkway over the track. It was practice before qualifying and we were on our way to our seats. What a rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been to IRL races and enjoyed them as well. 217 mph on a 1.5 mile oval......screeming is the right word. I can imagine what F1 would feel like. Maybe someday.
