  1. Default Dried Cigars

The other day I left a few cigars out of my humi by accident. (Dont ask). They were left out for a total of about 12 hours I would say. I put them back in my humi hopeing they werent to dry and that a few days in there would help them out. They dont seem to be gettig any better. They are very hard. Not crispy like ive felt most cigars that are dry. The filler leaves just seem to be very tight and hard. Ive tried smoking one and the draw is very tight on them. Is there any way to bring them back to normal? They have been back in my humi for about a week now. They arent cracking or anything just want to fix them. Thanks in advance

I don't think leaving them out will make them tight, unless your abient RH is really high, like 95% or so.

Probably the problem is from when they were rolled.

What kind of cigar are they?

Yeah, 12 hours shouldn't have anywhere near that kind of impact.

From the reading Ive been doing on here I figured 12 hours wasnt long. They definatly wernt like that when I bought them. I slowly and lightly squeeze and roll every cigar between my fingers to check for that. They were a few diffrent brands Rocky Patel, La Gloria Cubana, CAO and a few others. The RH wasnt high either. Its about 50-55% I would say.

Forgot to add that as I smoked the cigars that this had happened to, the more I smoked them the looser they got untill the were just right.

Just checked them today and add to the list of affected cigars partagas, cohiba, ryj and a few others. From what Ive read it seems that to wet makes the draw tight. And to dry could crack wrapper etc. The way it feels to me is that when they dried out they shrunk a little and tightened all the leaves together making the draw tight. Is this possible? I tried leaving them in a slightly higher humidity and see if that helps.
