    Default Lunar Eclipse 2/20/08

I think I'll put out a chair, pour a drink, and fire up a larger smoke for this, even though temps are dropping into the 30's here tonight (yeah, I know you guys up north are not goin outside)!

EST from about 8:45 ~ 12:00 or so. (start to finish, Total eclipse duration is much shorter).NASA link

We have a weather advisory here in VA. 1-3 inches in the afternoon. I'd love to go out and smoke one while watching the eclipse, but I don't think I can stand the cold.

Cloudy right now, and its supposed to be raining tonight. Oh well, would've been nice to sit out on the deck and watch.

Yeah, but 1hr in the cold = 10 min of "chase the turtle" when I come in to take a piss.......I ain't got time for that.

I saw it here from Columbia, SC. Beautiful clear sky, 60 degrees. Full moon took on a orangish glow and a dark shadow. Kinda weird looking.

Id like to see the fireworks when the Navy shoots down the spy satallite. Supposedly tonight over the Pacific near Hawaii.

My bets are they will clip it just enough to knock it out of orbit and send it on a path for Beijing. Then shoot a couple more missiles at it when it's right over Russia. The missiles will trigger Russia's own missile-defense which is now targeting Poland.
I'm telling you, living in Poland has never been easy.
