There are many really good cigars (besides Davidoffs) and it takes a while to find them. Don't let a bad one spoil your adventure. I usually buy a box when I find one I like but that doesn't stop me from trying others. There are dozens of sampler packs usually at a pretty good value. Some even let you select.
I smoke a cigar every day and usually 4 or 5 on weekends so by year's end I will have smoked around 500 with at least 200 being different.
