Smoked my first premium candela wrapped cigar this a.m. I bought it at the Graycliff in January at the retail outrageous price. I previously stayed away from candelas as I thought they were all very mild. This was not. Construction was excellent as it should be. The unlit aroma was not at all grassy like other candelas I have tried (domestic machine-made).

The smoke itself was very nice, medium body with good depth of flavor. The wrapper taste was very subtle. It burned well, and to me produced a fairly complex taste. I can't distiguish hints of this and that but it was not one-dimensional. It turned bitter and almost unsmokable in the last third however. At a lower price, I would buy these again...they make a nice morning smoke...but I would like to try another candela with a stronger filler blend like this one at a much better price point. Any recommendations?

If I was grading this, it would be in the lower 80's and would have been higher but for the degradation in the last third.
