    Default Introduction

Hey all.... I have been reading on the site for a few days and finally decided to introduce myself. My name is Jason, i am 26, and i live in bartlesville Oklahoma (near Tulsa).
I am a complete newb, and this all started with myself, and one of my employees talking about cigars. I'm not sure how the conversation started, but I started to read everything I could find on the internet. I then sought out a cigar shop in the area and made my first purchases. Here is what I bought: Helixx, Onyx, Punch, Fuente, Padron, and a rokey patel vintage 1990. I don't know the exact name and style of all of them, but so far my favorite has been the Padron, although I have yet to smoke the fuente, or rocky patel. Tomorrow I am going to purchase a humidor. One odd thing that I have noticed is this: I smoke cigarettes, and if I smoke a cigar.. say at night.... My cigarettes taste like ass the whole next day. Anyhow... that's me... any info, comments, or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Welcome. Good choice in cigars for your first time. Once you get a humidor set up, I recommend that you do the newbie trade sampler located in the exchange section.

    Welcome from Maryland.
Good choice in cigars. I suggest getting a bigger humidor than you intend or setting up yourself a coolidor. Once you really get into cigars, the humidor fills up faster than you think, trust me.

Welcome to the board! I'm pretty new too, but getting into cigars a lot (while also getting into debt in the process)

I'm sure you'll enjoy that RP Vin. 90'....that brand is really good and inexpensive...

Welcome to the forum. I think the cigarettes taste like ass because you have finally tasted real tobacco not a bunch of fillers and chemicals.

You need to kick those cigarettes anyway, they'll kill ya.

Welcome from AZ. As said, give up the cigs, you'll need the cash for cigars anyway.

    Welcome from South Carolina

I second the suggestion for building a coolidor, I just had to run out and buy a second cooler last night.

    Welcome from PA!

Might fine choices there to start with. The Padrons and Onyx are some of my favorites.
