Hello Fellow Cigar Lovers.

I have been getting urged by a buddy of mine to get involved with this forum and every time I go to get on here, I get distracted. Well that day ended yesterday now I have been approved to post.

My name is Nathan and currently I reside in the West Valley of Phoenix, Avondale to be more specific. I moved out here from Massachusetts/Connecticut in July of 2002 for a woman and 8 years later we are still together.

I was never a huge cigar smoker, I may have smoked one here and there if someone was offering or if I knew I was going to be in the company of other cigar smokers, I would make the occasional trip to the cigar shop. In either case I never smoked enough to warrant keeping any on hand, until recently that is.

The buddy of mine, Cyris, lives right down the road and my wife and I used to work with his wife so we started hanging out and drinking and cigars would come up more and more often. I picked up a cedar box from one of the shops and that is what i used to keep the few cigars I would keep on hand. Then on January of this year, Cyris and his wife got me a 200 - 300 count humidor so that I could build up my stock and have a decent place to keep them. Now I have that humidor pretty much full along with some humidity beads and a digital hygrometer.

I am quite the n00b when it comes to cigars and am pretty much at this point just trying to get a puff on everything that I can so that I can experience what is out there.

A few of the cigars that I had recently are:
-Indian Tabac's Cameroon Legend
-Rocky Patel's Decade 10th Anniversary
-Rocky Patel's Edge
-Key West 1876
-Rocky Patel's Old Reserve

I do enjoy the variety of flavors that the above offer and I am finding that I really enjoy the Rocky Patel line as they are a bit more on the mild side. The Indian Tabac is a strong cigar for me but there are occasions where I like to bust one out.

I don't claim to have the primo bistro of cigars in my humidor but as I mention previously, I like to sample whatever I can. Although I do enjoy smoking cigars I do not have the budget to acquire the expensive ones so I make do with what I can afford. Sometimes I go out seeking the cheapest thing I can find just to experience "something" and other times I splurge on something "extravagant". After all, how will I know what the good ones are if I don't set a baseline of lows as well as highs?

Some of what I have in the humidor right now:
-Montecristo Churchill
-Camacho Tenth Anniversary
-Uno Puro
-Cinco Vegas Classic
-Cinco Vegas 'A'
-Man O' War (Assorted Sizes / Blends)
-Rocky Patel's 1961 (Assorted Sizes / Blends)
-Perdomo Habano

Aside from cigars, I enjoy spending time with my kids and family, riding my 2007 Honda CBR1000rr (my wife has the same one), playing First Person Shooters on my XBox 360 online with friends and drinking the home brew Cyris whips up. I am also a geek at heart and love geek toys…

Well that is the long and short of me, well ok, the long anyway. I look forward to getting involved with this online community and plan on being around for awhile.

Thanks for taking the time to read me out.

Regards,
Nate
