Thread: 33cm Selectos Holguin

  1. Question 33cm Selectos Holguin

    I got this somewhere:

    (Selectos from Holguin)

I tried searching on the internet but I haven't found so long cigars as this one (almost 33cm).
I don't know how old it is, but I think it's at least 20-30 years old.

    Anyone knows what it is?

Will a 30 year old cigar still be ok to smoke? (Even if kept in perfect conditions)

From what I understand, 15 years is about the maximum before the essential flavor oils dissipate. The fact that it's in cellophane will help as long as it was kept in proper conditions.

I don't want to smoke it, I just want to know what kind of cigar is it.
One my friend offers me $50 for it. And he doesn't want to smoke it either.

Have no idea what kind it is. But I wouldn't smoke it or sell it. It's one of those you have in your collection to show off. Now if you had a few then it's a different story.

Yes, I agree. I am probably going to keep it. My husband of my father's aunt (already dead) got it from his grandma. So it's pretty long tradition.
