I find that many of the cigars I enjoy come in a tube. I have always keep them in the tube in the humidor until I was ready to smoke it. But, in the back of my mind I have always wondered if that is what is best for the cigar. So, question is; how do you store your tubed cigars?
I've changed...however they come, I leave them that way.

I don't see a reason to remove them as long as they fit in the humidor.
If it's corked I leave it in. If it's in aluminum I take it out. No real reason, it's just how I roll.
I leave them in the tube but take the cap off
If I lay them East to West in the humi I take the cap off, but, North to South I leave it on.

Yeah, they sell boxes of cigars in tubes. La Aurora Preferidos comes to mind. A long time ago, in a galaxay far away, I know a guy that bought a box of Macanudo Robusto Portfinos and they were all in tubes:smiley9:Quote:

Are there any significant differences between keeping them in or out of tubes when in the humidor? I have to imagine it doesn't matter too much.

I don't know where I was going with that but I haven't noticed much of a difference to answer your question. I have stored both ways.
Aren't you supposed to take that thin lining of cedar out and light that, using the flames from the cedar to light the cigar to give the cigar a new blend of flavoring. Well, thats what my old man told me. I noticed it was only slightly true in the beginning of the cigar; and by beginning, I mean the first 30 seconds.Quote:
