I went to open the blades on my xikar cutter, and they didn't spring open like usual... So i'm trying to figure out whats wrong with the thing and the spring mechanism falls out of the casing in two separate pieces... So, i'm sending it off tom. back to Xikar; their warranty promises that if i send it to them, they'll replace it no questions asked... lets see how this goes. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it just a fluke or what?
I've had mine around 6 years with no problems. Oiled it a little a few times and tightened some screws once. Let us know how they treat you.
from what I hear, they have a 2 week turn around.

The Rosewood handles were loose on mine. I returned it and got a brand new one, no questions asked. You may not like the turnaround time, but the unconditional guarantee is just that.

I bought an xi2 that literally exploded in my hands when I went to use it. I took it back to the store. I also paid way too much there. I am going to probably buy a regular Xi soon, or a palio.

It will be replaced, and quickly, with no questions asked. They do not just fix it but rather send you a brand new one at no cost to you except the cost to send them the busted one.

Well, i finally got my cutter back... not a bad turn around time. Looks like they actually repaired it instead of just sending a new one and now it works better than it did before.
Good to hear. Glad it worked out for you. Tempting me to invest in one.
