Love these Nubs! Anybody else?

Ok...I suppose you can see that I am biased (look at my screen name!) but these "little" Nub cigars are so good! Just had another 464T (torpedo) Habano sitting on my deck with a nice fresh G&T...and what a great smoke! Great flavor, great construction, perfect burn...very consistant and full of flavor the whole way through!

I think these will be my regular smoke for a while!

Anybody else feel the same aobut these little fat smokes? If you ahven't ried them...give them a shot...I was skeptical at first...but I hav loved them form the first one!

I like the 464T Connecticut. It's a smooth smoke that seems to have a little different flavor profile from most Connecticut's.

Too damn fat for me. I like a rg of 50 or less, probably an inferiority complex :smiley9:

cigarmonster.com has a nub sampler pack (qty 6 460's...2 habano, 2 connecticut, 2 cammie) for 26.99. I don't know if this is a good price or not but I thought I'd throw that out there.

This Thursday around 4:00pm Sam Leccia, creator of nub Cigars,
will be stopping by my local B&M for a meet and greet.
Unfortunately or not, I'll be tailgating at a Buffett concert at that time.

Had one a couple weeks ago. Nub cameroon. Nice little cigar. Took about 45 minutes to smoke. I wouldn't say no to trying some more of these down the road.

I had one at a herf a couple months ago. Burn was horrid, taste just wasn't there for me.:smiley11: In that price range there are other cigars I'd rather smoke.

Big fan of the Cameroon, my fav is the box-pressed torpedo.:smiley41:

I've not smoked one I liked as of yet. :smiley11:

I like the Habano 464 (it think thats what it is) I'm dying to get me a cameroon. I smoke it quite frequently they are tastey. :smiley41:

Yeah...the 464T Habano is my favoirte....its the "torpedo". I also agree with the comment on the Connecticut being a nice smooth flavor...enjoying one right now as I type this.

Not sure on teh bad burn as some have commented. maybe I am jsut lucky I guess. My burns have been perfect with no re-light or anything. It is officially my everyday smoke now. I WILL e stocking up on these for sure!:smiley20:

I'll second that on the even burn as well, I have had maybe 10-12 nubs in three months maybe from the local B&M no issues what so ever.

The size is very convient you can put twice as many in your travel humidor then a normal stick. I always have at least 4 in my travel box I always run into one guy on the golf course that has yet to smoke one so I always carry extra you never know what someone will trade ya for one.

Maybe I had a dud down at the twinne shop in philly, but I didn't care for the Nub I had.
I agree that it is kinda gimmicky.
The burn was nice as I remember, but the flavor wasn't there.

That's great that you found a go-to cigar for yourself, but I'd be willing to bet if you hang here long enough, you're going to be corrupted way above & beyond Nubs.:smiley2:

Just finished a Habano Nub 464 wasn't impressed with taste. but it was gifted by a brother and that was the best thing about this smoke for me. but each to there own

I've smoked a couple of these that've been gifted to me by some generous BOTL's, and while they are not bad cigars, I do not see buying any personally. They do seem like more of a marketing campaign than a good cigar. And, although they're not at the high end, they're not really cheap either. IMO, there are better cigars for less money.

I tried a couple when they first came out. Their "hook" was that the best part of any cigar was the center so Sam Leccia, a rep for Oliva, thought he'd cut to the chase and just take what he claimed was the best part of the leaf (the center) and roll a cigar out of it. He reasoned that it would make the cigar smoke well from start to finish. He launched it with what I considered a lot of hype, with claims that it would change the way the world thought of smoking a cigar, or something to that effect.

In my opinion any cigar has to develop as it is smoked. There are no shortcuts. I agree with Basil and Ashauler. It's an OK cigar, but mostly a marketing gimmick and too expensive for what it is.

But if you enjoy them and feel they're worth the asking price, that's OK. We all smoke what we like.

Yah...I hear ya...and I agree with Ashauler that we can all have different opinions...no worries at all. Thats what makes cigars so enjoyable...there are plenty for everyones varying tastes.

Having said that...I just smoked a CAO Gold Maduro (Torpedo) last night while sitting around a fire and visiting with some friends...that was a very nice cigar! Sometimes...I guess the location, the company and occasion can really affect my opinion of a cigar...but that CAO was a really enjoyable smoke. And the Irish coffee's were a nice addition too!:smiley20:

Oh, yes... I love to NUB my cigars!!! Nothing better than smoking a cigar all the way down to the very nub. I once went to a herf where they put out hemostats for all the participants - that way you could REALLY nub the cigar! Boy - having a great cigar that you want to nub - that doesn't happen very often, but when it does...

Now what are you gonna do when you finally realize that NUB's aren't that great and you're stuck with that catchy username? Someone get this man a NUB!

Sam is a clas A douchebag but I do enjoy the nubs that Oliva makes for him.

I don't mean to drag up an old post but I am currently smoking a Perdomo Habano that is about 1.5 inches from the end and im loving it. I used to quit well before this point but as i have started to enjoy the more full flavored cigars I have also begun to nub more and more of them. I like how the pepper and spice begin to build in the last third and when you get to the end you can really start to feel it in your belly. I also love how the aroma from the lit end tingles your nose as you reach the finish.

I also agree that Oliva makes some fine cigars, as they have become one of my go to's. However, I think the NUB line is over hyped and you don't get what you pay for. If you really like them then you should most defenitely try the Serie V and the MBIII as you will get a much more complex smoke at a better price.

I like the Perdomo Habanos too. And the others along this line - Maduro, Corojo, and Connecticut. The last one is my favorite, but all these are good and are priced well too.

I have not tried a nub yet. My first thought was, no way, too small. But then again I like big cigars. Perhaps it would be worth a try. :smiley41::smiley4:
