if you had one hundred dollars to spend on one single cigar what would it be? (it doesnt have to be exactly one hundred dollars.)

Thought this was interesting to look at....

Think I'd have to go with a Cohiba Siglo VI, then take the rest of the money to the grocery store.
Not anywhere near $100, but I'd really like to try a Montecristo A.
Probably a cuban davidofff
a 5 vegas and with the extra $98 I'd go play golf.
How are those tubos? Never had one.
Last time I went to the liquor store it was New Year's and it was closed :smiley36: Before that it was probably when I walked out with no liquor and a couple Fuente cigars...let my friend foot the bill on some beer cuz I bought some cigars. I saw the humidor and said, ooooh.
Has to be the $30 Gurkha Beauty - well worth the price.
Early 1980's Davi Dom Perignon.
LOL at people saying "Gurkha".
Without doubt a Cuban Davidoff Dom Perignon.
There must be an echo in here.
(echo in here)
Way to get her (son) started in the right direction...I guess as a merchant you wanted to take advantage of a situation like that. Or, maybe she just wanted to blindly throw away that kind of money. Regardless of whether or not you tried to steer her away from a dumb purchase like that, I guess if she has that kind of money to blow on an inferior cigar, all the power to her...
:smiley5:
*edit* I just looked up the current online price of a box. It looks like, in addition to everything else, you priced gouged the shit out of a cigar that was already retardedly price gouged by the manufacturer. Cigar.com, which offers far from the best box deals, has a box of Beauties for $675. A fucking horrendous deal to begin with, but after your ass-reaming $325 higher gougefest, it goes from dumb to just plain flatline IQ idiocy on the part of the buyer, and highway fucking robbery on your part.
Yup, check out: http://fujipub.com/cigartax.html
You'll also notice that PA has no cigar tax, which is probably why most online cigar retailers are based there (CI, Famous, Holts, etc). Ditto for florida.
Not really fair to compare bhand's store to anything online. I'm not sure where cigar.com is centered, but my guess is it's not cali.
Very true - Commiefornia's taxes are abysmal. However, buying a box of Beauties as an intro to cigar smoking is an equally terrible idea.
Also, your data is pretty outdated. Cali's current tax is about 15% lower than that.

Wow, is there anyone else you in this thread you want to pile on before you're done?
wow...
I have a Beauty in my cooler right now, (Thanks to Guado), Maybe I'll fire it up this weekend, and let you all know my thoughts on this $30.00~$50.00 smoke.
:smiley43:
The title of the thread is "most expensive cigar", so here's the top two I thought of.
The Cohiba Behike is selling around 470-500 and the 1492 has been selling for 500 from what I have heard.
Personally if I had 100 just to drop on a cigar, I'd get a cuban Davidoff (which I believe someone else has already suggested). If I was stocking up, and look for Opus, since you can spend 100 on that in a matter of seconds.
I thought cigar.com was CigarsInternational's outlet for the more expensive / rare smokes. Either way they are in PA as well.
I remember buying a couple of sticks at a B&M in So Cal last year and my jaw dropped when they rang it up.
So this lady came in and asked for a box of your most expensive cigars for her son. :smiley29: Dayum, bet you wish more customers were like that.
spiffy
Yikes.
The most expensive cigar I've ever had was the Zino Platinum Crown line. They run from $35-$42 apiece, but after smoking a few, they are well worth it. It's almost like realizing that no cigar you've ever had can measure up to this beauty.
They smoke perfectly, and have not a hint of bitterness or harshness. Very smooth, but full of flavor, and they shift on you at least twice. That's the effect you get from lovingly cared for, 5+year aged tobacco. I buy them about once a month, that's all I can afford, but I would smoke them a lot more often if I could afford more.
