Help with humidor

Maybe you could take a minute and introduce yourself and tell us what you like to smoke, how long you have been smoking, etc.......

thanks for the link to the great guide, get started on my humidor tommorow when i get some distilled water.
Also that sample thing would be great apart from im in england so may be a bit to much hassle.
And i will do an introduction when i get around to it

Yep, that's a fantastic link for seasoning a humidor, follow its instructions and you should have little problem. Take a cue from Mizicke and realize up front that things happen slooooowly and you should be fine.

LOL Mizicke......it will all be o.k........go and chill a bit. I used to have the same problem...checking my humi every few hours and worrying if my RH varied by 2-3% overnight. Over time you will see that the sticks are just fine as long as you can avoid extreme swings in temp and rh.

Yea, Im still learing about this paitence thing. Ive begun to not worry about the RH and just trust the beads. I think Ill take your advice and go .

Anyways, to agree with everyone else, Lopaka's humi set up guide is a must read, beads are great, the Newbie Sampler II is the way to go and a few of us are impatient.

Im 19 live in england
im very new to cigar smoking maybe only been smoking for 3 weeks Started off with hamlets (miniture gas station cigars in europe) had some H. Upmann corona juniors and now i cant get enough.
im not a cigar aficionado but i would call myself a beer aficionado

Thank you for the intro. Glad to hear you've moved away from the gas station smokes. Hupman is a nice smoke with many variations in their line. The vintage cameroon is one of my favorite non-isom Upmann's. Welcome to the board, you will find lots of help here.

What are some good Dopple bochs? I've had the Celebrator and liked it. Any suggestions for a good dark beer. I've got some Sam Smith's Imperial Stout in the fridge now. I didn't enjoy it as much as the dopple boch.

youve got me on that one but im only 19 so i guess ive got plenty of time to get better.

Also ive got my humidor all set up and got my Upmanns in there,
now to fill up the empty spaces
