haha. Well, the scab finally came off my lip. But in the same hour I gained a new one ... on my nose.
I was lifting my nose to get in there close and set the blade down to early. Slit it right on my left nostril. Sarah was in the room, she didn't like it too much. Although she wants to try out my Merkur. She says she'll buy one if she likes it. She's paying ridiculous prices on blades.

I've been DE and brush shaving for the better part of a year now. I only get some minor nicks on occasion. I am lucky. I have a short goatee style beard and mustache, so my nose and mouth area is safe.
A new rule I use with any razor is, SHAVE SLOWLY. Slow, careful shaving stops you before nicks turn into cuts.
When I changed from my Gillette tech to the heavy Merkur 38C, I had a couple nicks and some burn the first couple of shaves. Different razors handle differently.
