Default Humidity device at local smoke shop..

Well I finally got time to browse my local smoke shop, which has a huge selection of cigars. However I was there picking up a new cutter and decided to look around. The lady behind the counter showed me these little humidify devices, when I asked about if they had any extra boxes for sale. She mentioned they work great, and they were only a 1.49.

I was wondering what these where? Are they just little humidifiers? They look like about 4 quarters stacked on top of each other. Pretty small, silver appearance. Are these even decent for a storage option rather then ordering something and paying shipping? I've got a small 20 count humidor box on the way. Wasn't sure if I would need one of those little humidifiers or not so I decided to wait and see.

    Probably a newb question..

Well, you're going to need something. Did she say if they could be recharged?

I'm not familiar with the ones you're talking about.?. A water pillow works great for temporary humidification.......30-60 days depending on how often you open the humi. Gel jars work great and can be recharged. Most b/m's have both of these options.

I didn't even think to ask her if they could recharge, I spose I can try and sneak by again later this week.

The humidor I ordered says that it has a humidification element..

I tried using a water pillow in my little tupperdor but I was getting a reading of 90%+.

Are you sure your hygrometer is accurate? Did you salt test it?
