Where are you guys finding Opus X's or Padron Anni's for MSRP? I've never been able to find a shop that doesn't price gouge on these(online or local).

I never pay above MSRP... I don't know why you can't find them at the price.

You're probably not paying retail because the gougers are cleaning out the stock to sell them at OH MY GOD! prices...

Don't feed the gougers - it only encourages thsm...

Padron Anniversary (1964) and Padron 1926 are EASY to find for below full retail, try google. Serious Cigars has the 1926 maduros in stock for very fair prices. C'MON MAN, LOOK AROUND!

Or you could try Al who owns a shop in Decatur, GA. I think it's called puffnstuff but I can't remember. His screen name is puffstuff over on CP. There's also Gabriel Miranda in Miami who sells Padron 1926s and 1964s for very fair prices. His screen name is gmiranda33 over on CP. Here's a post where he talks about his new store:

    Havana Humidor of Pinecrest
    12749 South Dixie Highway
    Pinecrest, FL 33156
    305-278-2804
    www.havanahumidorcigars.com

He used to sell the fancy Padrons but I haven't talked to him in a while.

As far as Opus X, etc., my local shop has them for very close to regular ole MSRP but they have to add on sales tax. No big deal, I don't mind supporting my local shop at all.

Like George said, don't feed the gougers and slimeballs like this cigars direct a$$hat.

I've actually found Padron Anni's for $10/stick, so I'm not sure why I put that in my last comment. Maybe the long day at work.

I'm more interested in finding Opus X's for cheaper then the insane prices I've seen. I've done my searches and haven't found Opus X's for under $17 bucks a stick(for smaller sizes).

I've never bought any Padron Anniversary boxes, I only buy the 1926s.

It has much more to do with who you are, rather than what you know.

Patience, grasshopper. Good things come to those who wait!

I honestly have given away more Opus than I've smoked. Not that I don't like them, they just do not have the "WOW!" factor other cigars do...

I agree. I don't see what all the fuss is about. I finally traded away all that I had (except for the ones included in the 2006 & 2007 Christmas collections.) I used to be a fan of AF's but I guess tastes change. Maybe it's time for another trade.

I'm still a very young smoker. I have smoked sticks that I have enjoyed more then the 2 Opus X's that I have smoked(still one more in waiting). I'm just still in the try anything stage and I would like to try some different sizes of these. Maybe it's only my naive impressions that Opus's are super elite.

Don't get me wrong - they are a consistently good cigar. One of my favorites is the Petit Lancero. But there are others that (to me, anyway) equal or surpass Opus X in enjoyment.

I still wouldn't balk at someone giving me one, or choosing one to smoke when I want to enjoy something nice. I guess what's nice is I've had experiences with quite a few cigars now, and have options beyond an Opus X.
