I haven't looked into it again for a year or so... I'd love to get it done.

I know its outpatient, and that they shave off so little of the eye now that it can be done repeatedly throughout life, and that it lasts much longer without having to be redone (if you shell out the 2k or so for a good procedure).

We're just recovering out of a little windfall we had (I was unemployed for 3 months back in August-November), and now we (wife and I) are rebounding better than before. My new job is paying much better than my last job, its much more stable, I love the job, and I'm getting another raise and promotion in a month. (I'm a store manager for Clark's, the shoe company)

So I can start banking some of that excess money towards such things... definitely near the top of my list. Was your vision blurry for a day or so afterwards? I had heard that happens.
Problem with it is the cost is subjective to how bad your eyes are. I was pretty blind and had astigmatism so I had to shell out $1,700 per eye for wavefront. I spared no expense though and went somewhere that i knew they did really good work. After one day I was seeing 20/15 out of one eye and around 20/25 or 20/30 out of the other. that is a huge improvement over the 20/500 or so that I was before. You can get good financing too though. I have 0% interest for 18 months so that helps quite a bit.

As far as blurry vision goes. I can see pretty well now but it still hasn't got to that crispness, they said with how bad my eyes were that could take awhile. I have fuzziness around the edges of things, mainly glowing things in the dark. right eye had quite a bit of edema so it's still getting there. I could see well enough to drive the next day though, night vision is still a little off though.
