I bought three of the cigar spikes about a month ago just to check them out for myself. These things are worthless. I used one on a Monte white and it just F'ed it up so I got out my cigar cutter and it worked out. I would not recommend these to anyone. a $2 cutter is the way to go.
Smoke em' if you got em'

It worked on the first cigar I spiked and on the second I had to end up cutting the tip to get a decent draw. I think it would work better with a more refined tip on it or maybe even if it was metal instead of plastic

So you're giving away a product that you yourself find lacking? That really doesn't say much for the product or your character.
Just a stay at home dad (retired until I choose otherwise, thanks Canadian Army medical pension) hanging out and enjoying the good life.

Says you. The less on a key chain I carry in my pocket, the better. Currently: two small rings connected with a small release, with one key on each.

I think you're fixing to fuck up.

Please don't attack my character. Why is everyone against receiving a free cigar tool that costs .99? If you don't like it move on. If you buy it and it doesn't work well, give it away or throw it away or use it as a toothpick. Lighten up...you take this forum too seriously.

    See, here's the problem:

You join the board. You post up reviews, make links to your website, and host a contest where in order to enter, we have to visit your website. It looks like you are just here to promote yourself, your website, and make yourself look better to vendors, who in turn, would supply you with more free cigars.

To many people here, it looks like you are just using this board as a vehicle to promote your own interests, instead of being an addition to what is going on here. It takes a while - read up, do searches, read past posts, and, above all else, POST SPARINGLY.

Did you check out all that went down with the kaelaria guy I mentioned in the above post?

I don't know how to put it much clearer than that - we're not picking on you, for crying out loud. We're being NICE.

I greatly appreciate the detail with which you explained that; I read up on the other guy mentioned and I understand the frustration there; I DO NOT want to be that guy. I honestly never thought that posting a free contest would generate this thread. The reason the contest links to the blog is because the contest was not just for this forum, there were also other people that were commenting and so, rather than pulling from various places, I chose to pull a winner from one place.

I apologize if anyone feels I've invaded the system at work here. I've read nearly every cigar review post since I joined and plan to continue to do so, but I would also like to post my reviews to get opinions from everyone as well as to get ideas about other cigars I should smoke from comments you may leave on the thread.

I am not on a self-promotion mission here and I do not enjoy having my character raised to question or obscenities made toward me. The only time I've asked anyone to leave a comment on the blog was when there was something free being given away. I would like to continue to do this if everyone is ok with that; we are giving away a box of cigars in a couple weeks and I would like to post that here, but it will link to the blog as others will also be leaving comments from places other than this forum.

    Take care.
