Between that and that Harry Potter guy, I just don't see the draw to them. I gave the first Harry Potter book a try, but actually felt myself getting dumber after every page. Couldn't get through the first half of the book. And I didn't have many brains to begin with!

Many women find the whole vampire/romance concept a big turn on. Call it what you will. The fictional vampires have mutated from evil filthy murderous undead monsters to sex symbols/heroes. The wheel has been reinvented yet again. It's the same reason women love 90210, One Tree Hill, The OC, etc. Reckless teen romance and rich bad boys.
