There was sideline talk of these for the next split. I'm gauging interest, and if favorable, what vitola? I'll run the split.

I'm just bumping this, as I posted it on the weekend which is usually a dead zone for some people. I'll most likely be getting at least a box of 10 for myself (and splitting it with a couple guys at home here) but again, I'm gauging interest if anyone else wants to get in on it. FYI, I'm thinking about the rothschild, but that doesn't rule out other vitolas if there's enough interest.

I'm in for a at least half a box or so. I would prefer a larger vitola than the rothchild, but if that is the prefered I'm still in.

It will always be a battle a day between those who want maximum change and those who want to maintain the status quo.

I'd take 5 (or more if needed).
Anyone smoke these yet? If so what do they compare too?

I've smoked several of them. I did have a plugged stick once, or maybe it was just a really tight draw. That was a couple of years ago. I haven't experienced anything like that since.
As far as what they taste like, I couldn't do it justice. It's a very pleasant smoke. I'd put it at a solid medium-body, not too strong, but with great flavor. Very even burn. Myself, I prefer the Cafe vitola. Of all of the cigars from the NOCF, I enjoy this blend the most - followed by probably the double-wrap Churchill and then their Panatela, but according to their site, they only make flavored Panatelas now. Too bad, because they were a quick, cheap decent smoke.
I'd go for the split, but I've got too much going on right now. These are, however, some of my favorite cigars out there. I always visit the shop on Decatur anytime I'm in the Crescent City.
I've had the Tres Hermanos, they were very tasty and impressed me quite a bit. So I would think the Vieux Carre would be similar in quality.
I might be down for a fiver, waiting for my quad to return from the shop before I commit. Not sure how much the bill is going to be.
Yay! Cigars!
