For me, it would depend on the time of year, but I'd probably drive up to 8 hours (one way!) and spend a weekend, provided the chosen location didn't suck completely and there would be more to do than just smoke cigars.

I would travel for a weekend vacation to participate in a herf - it would just have to land on a vacation-friendly weekend (one where my wife can go too).
