Banning Policy

Since this is a member moderated community I wish to lay down ground rules for the banning of a user.

* PM sent to Admin. Admin will review.
* If Admin deems the situation to be a banable offence then a poll will be created in the Politics forum.
* The poll options will be as follows:
o Permanent ban
o 7 day suspension (some situations may warrant 30 days)
o No ban
* A 51% majority must rule in favor of the ban.
* At least 10 senior members must vote in the poll for results to be valid.
* The poll will be open for voting for 24 hours.

While there's no longer a politics section, and there have been some exceptions made, there's no reason to go rogue and start banning people just because they're obnoxious, self-aggrandizing, name-dropping shit stains. The "panty fags" comment is plenty to start the poll.

George, I'm not one to call for bans on anyone. But with the case of fishboy, his ONLY purpose for coming to the forum is to stir up trouble. He makes no attempt at making contributions. He just opens the door , takes a shit and leaves. He's poison.

ilikefishes is a member who casually joined a random cigar board, tried to brag about things he is ignorant of, was called out, went fukushima, and now is a festering, lurking troll boil beyond recall.

Unlike you, I do know how to spell his name - and I would absolutely do so out of respect for the legend known as Avo Uvezian!

Bottom line, smellslikefishes - if you're in the "industry", you'd know what I've shared is not a secret or deragatory. For 80+ - he IS quite a handful (a real life version of the "World's Most Interesting Man"). Betcha you couldn't, off the top of your head (without consulting the internet), name some of the important contributions Avo has given us (one of which is pretty significant, unrelated to cigars and I sincerely doubt you'd even come close to knowing it!).

But - I also know based upon your wonderful contributions to our cigar community that you're being in the "industry" has more to do with what you can get out of it, versus what you put into it. So I fully expected you would not understand my post!


BTW - beware. Take what you can get, but always remember that Karma has a quite kick to it.
