I don't know if he gave me these from his personal supply, or might have bought them to give to me. Should I tell him? If I bought cigars as a gift from somebody, I would want to know so I could go back to where I bought them. Also, if they were from my supply I would want to know if there was something wrong w/my stash that I hadn't noticed. I certainly wouldn't expect anything back in place of the moldy cigars, and don't want to seem ungrateful. Should I say anything?
Mold on tubed cigars is a common problem. I'm a fucking fanatic about the care of my cigars and still have some spots of mold on a few RYJ tubos from time to time ( Non CC). Mostly is white mold not the dreaded blue/green shit. Just wipe it off with a damp paper towel and smoke them.

It's definitely not "dreaded blue/green shit"... Like you said it's white (looks like salt residue from sweat) and formed in little rings. Great news! I'm sure I have exposed myself to things more toxic than a little mold smoke, but wasn't sure if it would be OK. Thanks!

Just blow the dust off the cigars, smoke them and don't say anything to the guy who gave them to you.
