Ninkasi as a whole, like many NW breweries, tend to over-hop their brews (IMO). They have a lot IPAs. Generally I'm not a fan of IPAs, but if they balance the bitterness of the hops with the flavor of the hops and other ingredients, then I like them.
That said, I did like the Tricerahops I had once and I do enjoy Radiant Ale (summer seasonal).
I thought the Believer Double Red and Sleigh'r Dark Double Alt (fall seasonal) were unbalanced bitter.
As for the less-hoppy offerings, I've always enjoyed Oatis Oatmeal Stout, the Renewale Porter (winter 2012) is good, and the Imperiale Stout (special release) isn't balanced (too bitter) for me.

Picked up a 6 pack of Rodenbach for tonight. Love those sour ales.

Some nice ales out of France. Next to Flanders ales some of my favorites. Even thought the Irish did not fear well in Flanders. Reminds me of Johnny McGory an old song, sung by a man who I was proud to call a freind and enjoyed many a cigar with, Ronnie, I miss you everyday.

Drank entirely too much Shiner Blonde, scotch, punch and champagne ringing in the New Year...think I need to take a break over the next few days.
Indeed...the only upside was that my wife partied a little too much also so I didn't have to ______ (enter in anything here she always seems to want to do when I have a hangover, such as go to the farmer's market)

Used to homebrew, everything from scratch, ground my own grain, the whole works, kegged my beer, had a 4 tap fridge. Really love the heavy beers, Russian Imperial Stout, Trippels and Dubbels, but dont confine myself to those. No more time to homebrew, but a lot of great choices on the market, and one good brewpub in Charleston and a very good one in Savannah.

Enjoying a Thistly Cross Hard Cider from Scotland. Nice scrumpy type cider.
But at $7.00 for a 355ml bottle, I won't be enjoying it often.

bleh. This sampler case was a mistake...
There's also a Butternuts ~ Stout that's in the case that I had last night that was the best out of the bunch, but still not too whippy.

Is it wrong that I want one of those for breakfast right now?
Interesting response a local brewery, Freetail Brewing, made to a cease and desist letter. Coincidentally, about another dinosaur themed name...
