I got some helpful ints about my computer but it has huge issues. The system does not even have recovery disks just some POS restore in control panel that does not work. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS!
I know I just need a new one.

While it probably is time to retire the old girl Paddy, you might try a "repair" of windows. However, since it's a brand name, you may not have got a 'normal' operating system disk with it. Most brand names use a "recovery CD", or "recovery partition" instead. If however, you have a normal OS disk and you're interested in trying to fix it (I agree with mangy, it does sound like software issues) let me know. I can walk you through the repair process. It's actually pretty easy to do and if successful (has been every time I've done it) should fix any operating system issues.

Do backup all the important data you want to keep before it gets any worse!
