I'm guessing, judging by this group, you've probably heard of The Pogues but I figured if you hadn't, you might enjoy them. I do know as soon as the music started in this video it made me think of The Pogues.

One of my favorites of theirs is their version of Waltzing Matilda

Oh yeah, the Tossers say the Pogues are one of their influences. The Killigans are almost in the same genre as well. I actually got to see the Pogues live in Boston in '08. Shane wasn't the sloppy drunk he can be so it was pretty good!

One time when I saw the Tossers back in 2007, the lead singer did "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" as a solo, no instruments at all, and it was incredible. Thanks for the Pogues version!

I haven't listened to a lot of the Tossers, but what I have, I liked. I'm definitely going to have to check into the Killigans more deeply.

Ain't that the truth! One of my favorite channels on satellite radio is the 70's channel. Reminds me of my misspent youth.........LOL

I've never been a fan of Axel Rose so I've never quite enjoyed that song as much as I did this version. I went and looked for it after you mentioned it and found it on YouTube. I'll post it for anybody else who'd like to hear this version. Also, below that I'm posting a version of the same song as done by Sheryl Crow. Another excellent version of this song!
