I just did the Google on Troll for forums. I about fell out of my chair.

Let me assure you all that I am in no way trying to bring problems to your forum. Sorry about my screen name. I got it from a friend of mine a long time ago for another reason. I just kept the name because I am used to using it.

I will fill out more personal stuff but please know that I am not trying to start some type of flaming debate out here. I would be the last person to do that.

It looks like I am kind of a wussy by using the flavor cig for now but I think I will work up to something else soon. I am just branching out to see what others think.

Welcome! Nothing wrong with smoking flavored cigars. At work I'm the "Flavors" guinea pig just because I'm a girl. I do have a good number of "Manly" men that smoke CAO Flavors. As to what to smoke, If you want to try something non-flavored that won't knock your socks off or leave you in a dead faint, try Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real, CAO Gold, Cuesta Rey Centenario Nat...

Edit: BTW, I Flat out refuse to taste test any more FRUIT flavored cigars.... Go buy some bubble gum.

Since we're confessing... Ummm, I smoked a swisher sweet once...in the 1980's. I was a mixed up teenager with no refinement and a bleak future. I got better.

    Stick around!

You guys are a tough crowd. I will probably not post for a while. I want to see how it goes here. I didn't expect to be pounced on so quickly. :(

    Indysmoker:

I think that was a little harsh. I read the post and I don't think he was trolling. At worse he's guilty of not lurking on the forum to see what the general consensus is about flavored cigars and not posting an introduction message. Yes, those are also newbie mistakes but we've dealt with that before.

aainstigator: Come on back and give us another try. As for mild cigars suggestions go to the Review section and check out my Newbie Reviews. I'm trying to review cigars from a new smoker's perspective. That might help give you suggestions of mild cigars to start out with.

Oh By the way, I will admit right here and now that a few nights ago I tried an ACID Juicy Lucy. It was interesting, but overall it tasted better before I lit it.

Yes, I've smoked a flavored cigar. And it was an ACID. Don't hate me.

Trying to get back to your original post, I started out on real cheap mild cigars and flavors before moving into real cigars... similar to what some others have posted.

I think the important thing, that most people on this board would suggest, is to make sure you're smoking flavored cigars that use real quality tobacco. A lot of the flavored cigars use the flavors to cover poor tabacco quality. This is similair to wine which doesn't have a vintage, which means they are blended in an effort to cover poor characteristics.

That being said, I would recommend you try some of the flavored cigars from Drew Estates (the natural and java lines, in particular). The ones that I've had were pretty good, and for the most part, used subtle favorings.

Wow, i am real new here too..........those last 2 pages were harsh.

Welcome aboard! I have smoked a couple flavored cigars. I cant really say i care what is said about it. Its your money spent on the cigar and its you smoking it, so smoke what you want.

I def prefer a non flavored cigar, but i also do like Acid Blondies. Start mild and work your way up, you will def like non flavored.

To each his own, welcome again and def stay on here, you will learn a lot.

I worked with computers and networks for years. I knew what "flame on" and "flame off" meant back in the 80's, but terms like "trolling" and "post whores" are fairly new to me.

AA - A bit of advice. No matter what you smoke, give yourself time between draws to taste the flavor... maybe up to a minute or more. Drink something with it. Water or a soft drink will take the edge off. Plan to relax for at least an hour with a good stick. Put it out when you no longer are enjoying it. And for God's sake... Don't Inhale!

Are we now requiring introductions? I'm so confused!

Of course you are. But not when you're smokin' a cigar.

Edit: By the way, make sure you breathe between puffs. Holding your breath for an hour or so can be hazardous to your health!

    Welcome aainstigator!

Don't pay much attention to bigpoppapuff, he's had a rough time here trying to prove he's "somebody" and it blew up in his face a couple of weeks ago so he's still crabby and rude and takes out his frustrations on new guys, kinda like the guy who comes home in a bad mood and kicks his dog.
